NUTCRACKER

Atwood Concert Hall
The Nutcracker Ballet is Anchorage’s number one family holiday performing arts event. Each year a professional company with parts for local dancers, is presented by the Anchorage Concert Association. Alaska Dance Theatre coordinates all the local dance activities from the auditions through the final performance. Look for audition announcements in September.

SHOWCASE
Every spring the School of Alaska Dance Theatre presents its annual concert on the stage of the Atwood Concert Hall. Over 300 students are involved in this production from ages 7 through adult. Each class teacher choreographs a a piece based on the theme chosen for the year.

Each year students at the School are invited to participate in various performance opportunities like Trick or Treat Town shows or Chamber of Commerce luncheons. Watch the latest news for updates on these performances.

Alaska Dance Theatre is a guest artist for the Anchorage Symphony Orchestra’s Halloween Concert. This family friendly event is a fun way to introduce young people to symphony music and dance and have fun at Halloween too. After the show the audience gets to trick or treat in the lobby. Alaska Dance Theatre is on of the many volunteer groups handing out candy.
